Giving Hope. Changing Lives.

LaFamilia Hope Initiative is a Community Based Organisation restoring hope in Kenyan slums by protecting girls' dignity, mentoring teenagers, and providing for the elderly since 2012.

Since 2012

Restoring Hope in Our Slums

Founded on October 20th, 2012 by Stephen John Nyangoso, LaFamilia Hope Initiative started with 3 girls through Bible study and physical activities. What began as a small act of faith has grown into a movement that transforms lives across Kibagare and Westlands.

Our mission is to change the mentality of all teenagers in the slums, to help them realize the power of a positive mindset and that one day they can be what they want to be, including taking leadership in society and government.

STREETFEST Football Charity Cup

An exchange program between youths of Kayole Njiru community and Kibagare slum. We give them a platform to showcase their talents on the field of play and also let them share ideas on how to cope with life away from addiction and crime.

Each year during STREETFEST, we celebrate our anniversary and witness God's grace through provision and growth in numbers.
